Marchmont CC have drawn McCrae FS West of Scotland in the 2020 Scottish Cup, with the match to be played at Cavalry Park on Sunday 24th May.  West of Scotland finished second in the Western Premier League in 2019 and reached the quarter finals of the Scottish Cup too.  They can boast former players such as Trevor Bayliss and in their current squad is South African Rory Kleinveldt, who we may well see at Cavalry. Marchmont's last foray into the Scottish Cup was in 2017, when they beat Glasgow

Congratulations to Dr Ken Thomson OBE
Huge congratulations to former Marchmont CC stalwart, Dr Ken Thomson, who was awarded an OBE in the Queen's birthday honours list for distinction for "services to education, economic development and the communities of the Forth Valley area".  Kenny is currently the Principal and Chief Executive of Forth Valley College and has overseen award-winning success, including the development of facilities at all there campuses in the Forth Valley region.  Kenny was a 1st XI regular during the 90s and

    New MCC Website Launched
The new Marchmont CC website was launched in anger last night (12th June) and can be seen at www.marchmontcc.com.  So what's changed?  We've essentially just given the site a new modern look and feel and updated some of the content.  We've made it more legible, particularly things like the club records and tidied up pages that tended to have text creep (overlapping of text on a page though it's not been designed in that way).  The site should also be a little more mobile user friendly, albeit

MCC vs MDAFS: Parks Mini Preview
A little stat attack before tonight's game.   MCC have a rich history in Scotland's oldest cricketing trophy, The Edinburgh Public Parks Association Trophy (http://www.eastleague.org.uk/cups/parkstrophy/), having lifted it on 4 occasions and having been finalists a further 6 times.  However it is a long time since the heady days of the 1990s, where MCC reached 8 finals in 10 years.  MCC's last foray to the final saw them come up short by 22 runs against Holy Cross, 11 years after their 1 run win
